Gas South's Strategic Move: Relocating Headquarters to The Battery
In a significant strategic decision, Gas South, the leading provider of natural gas in the Southeast, has announced plans to relocate its headquarters to The Battery, a bustling mixed-use development in Cobb County, Georgia. This relocation marks a pivotal moment for Gas South and underscores the company's commitment to growth, innovation, and community engagement. With this move, Gas South aims to leverage the vibrant business ecosystem of The Battery, fostering collaboration, and driving its vision forward. The planned target date is August 1st, 2024.
Gas South is the third company to move its headquarters at Three Ballpark Center. Back in 2021, pizza restaurant chain Papa John's International Inc., moved its headquarters from Kentucky to a 60,000-square-foot space in the building. German elevator manufacturer TK Elevator moved its North American corporate headquarters at Three Ballpark Center, which is adjacent to an elevator test tower it built on the campus. Elsewhere in The Battery, Comcast Inc. maintains its regional headquarters.
Gas South will lease 31,000 square feet of space, which is a cut from its current 54,016 square feet it occupies at One Overton Park and will house around 250 employees.
Gas South's decision to establish its headquarters at The Battery demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to business development. The Battery, located adjacent to Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, has rapidly emerged as a dynamic live-work-play destination in the greater Atlanta area. This prime location will provide Gas South with numerous advantages, including proximity to major transportation networks, a vibrant retail and entertainment district, and access to a diverse talent pool.
By relocating to The Battery, Gas South is positioning itself at the heart of an innovative business ecosystem. The Battery is home to a range of companies spanning various industries, creating a fertile ground for collaboration and the exchange of ideas. This move will foster opportunities for Gas South to engage with like-minded organizations, drive partnerships, and explore innovative solutions to meet evolving market demands. The close proximity to Truist Park will also provide opportunities for engaging with the local community and creating memorable experiences for employees, customers, and partners.
Access to a talented workforce is crucial for any company's success, and Gas South recognizes the benefits of being located in an area renowned for its skilled professionals. The Battery's strategic location, coupled with its vibrant lifestyle amenities, will undoubtedly appeal to top-tier talent seeking a dynamic work environment. The relocation will enable Gas South to attract and retain exceptional individuals who are passionate about driving the company's mission forward.
Gas South has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the communities it serves, and this relocation further amplifies its dedication to community engagement. The company's presence at The Battery will enhance its ability to actively participate in local initiatives, foster partnerships with nonprofit organizations, and support the overall development of the surrounding area. By engaging with the local community, Gas South will strengthen its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen and contribute to the economic growth of Cobb County.
Gas South's decision to relocate its headquarters to The Battery is a strategic move that positions the company for continued success, innovation, and community impact. By immersing itself in The Battery's dynamic business environment, Gas South is poised to leverage new opportunities for collaboration, attract top talent, and strengthen its corporate citizenship. This relocation demonstrates Gas South's unwavering commitment to growth and reinforces its position as a leading player in the Southeast's natural gas industry. As the company settles into its new home at The Battery, the stage is set for a promising future.
